Puente Genil

Puente Genil is a Spanish village in the province of Córdoba, located in the south west region of Andalusia. It is part of Córdoba´s southern countryside and the municipal area boards with Seville and Malaga. It is located almost exactly in the centre of Andalusia, a perfect spot thanks to its railway and road connection, being very near the important capitals of Andalusia (69 km from Córdoba, 110 km from Malaga, 120 km from Seville and 150 km from Granada).

The population in 2012 was 30.385 citizens, an area of 170 square kilometres and a population density of 138,2/km². 37º 23’N, 4º 46’W are the coordinates. It is 216 metres above sea level and 68 kilometres from the province capital, Cordoba. It has ten municipal districts, El Palomar is one of the biggest of the province with 859 inhabitants in 2012.
